Case studies

Eriskay, South Uist.

A project with a view! This new-build, detached, 3-bedroom house looks right onto the beach and is truly breathtaking. We were working where the film ‘Whisky Galore’ was shot and also where Bonnie Prince Charlie landed upon his arrival back to Scotland. They say in Eriskay every time you build a house you find a case of whisky… unfortunately we never got the chance.

On this project, we supplied and fitted a Nibe Air Source heat pump and fitted underfloor heating throughout the entire house. As this build was in the Outer Hebrides, travel was our biggest challenge. However, even though the house involved a five-hour drive and a three-hour ferry journey, with our remote heat pump monitoring software we are still able to monitor their air source heat pump.

The client decided not to take out a loan for this project. Over the next 7 years they will receive  £10,500 in RHI payments.

As this was a new-build, we didn’t have previous bills to compare with. However, we can guarantee that they will enjoy great savings on their fuel bills – and that spectacular view.
